We are a Swedish startup company that has developed a patent-pending intelligent cool bag that locks in cold and prevents condensation issues.
ifoodbag® is made of a paper composite material that is reusable, recyclable and sustainable.
In cooperation with Mondi Group – our global production partner and RISE (Innventia) – one of the world leading research institutes within pulp and paper, we have set the foundations for building a strong and sustainable business.
Our product, the ifoodbag® is revolutionary for the retail trade in general and for the online grocery players in particular, where the temperature controlled logistical challenges are the biggest issues to solve financially smart – “The Final Mile Challenge”.
We are passionate about becoming a final mile solution provider. Where the ifoodbag® is a part of a system solution that secures temperature controlled logistics in an environmental sustainable way.
ifoodbag AB is founded in Stockholm, Sweden after the founder developed prototypes that could solve the complexity of last mile deliveries.
The first in a series of patent applications is filed.
ifoodbag signs a production agreement with Mondi Group, the global packaging and paper company. Soon after that the first two standardized sizes of ifoodbags, 18 and 27 liters, were launched.
Mat.se becomes ifoodbag’s first customer for their launch of Volvo In-car Delivery service.
ifoodbag receives a European Commission’s Horizon 2020 grant for €1,7M.
ifoodbag signs its first distribution contract outside Europe with Equator One Logistics Ltd in Nairobi, Kenya.
The highly experienced business leader Bengt Baron enters ifoodbag’s team of expertise followed by several other strong team members.
Robert Grenmark, previous VP Sales ifoodbag, takes over as CEO.
ifoodbag is an early stage startup company. The company was founded in 2013 and is currently owned by several Swedish private investors. Other financing includes innovation loans from Almi Företagspartner and a substantial contribution from the European Commission within the EASME Horizon 2020 program.
